Workshop Description
At the core of the desire to heal, grow, and self-actualize is the yearning to
experience Essence, the desire to be reunited with the Beloved, to experience
True Self, to dwell in the Absolute. People who are called to vocations that
support the growth, self-realization and self-actualization of others are able
to fully assist others only when they can personally embody Essence themselves.
In order to do so, they must also understand how to work through the blockages
between their personality and Essence. Then they can help their students on the
same journey.
The Enneagram is an extraordinarily insightful map for identifying the
personality features that everyone inadvertently develops to protect themselves
from the pain of separation from their Divine nature. It brilliantly explicates
the compensating mechanisms we create in an attempt to prevent further pain.
However, as hidden as they may be, the strivings of the ego contain within them
the desire to reunite with the Absolute.
Because our personality fixation has a natural inclination for one aspect of
our essential nature, it cannot access a whole experience of the Divine. This
leads to distortions which adversely affect psychological development, life
choices, spiritual practices, and even the choice of a spiritual path. Unless
the persistence of the "invisible veil" of one's type is dissolved, even real
spiritual Teachers will not be able to permanently integrate their awakenings
into daily life, or truly facilitate the integration of essence with students.
This Workshop synthesizes deep transformative practices with the exquisite
guidance of the Enneagram to give psycho/spiritual facilitators a more
comprehensive, holistic, and radically transformative tool kit for creating and
integrating psychological and spiritual breakthroughs. We will explore how a
facilitator's ability to access and embody all nine domains of Essence creates
a quantum shift in the capacity to support clients' and students' ability to
move from average levels of personality functioning to healthy and liberated
levels of personality and embodied essence.
