Summer Solstice Celebration & Annual Meeting
Inspiration Summer Solstice is a celebration of growth, love and joy. We have a
Solstice Ritual, followed by the Inspiration Annual Meeting where reports are
presented of Inspiration's current status and future goals, and voting takes
place for the members of the Board of Directors. Along with camaraderie,
entertainment, reporting of accomplishments, and sharing of vision, there will
be a pot luck to share vegetarian fare. This is a free event and is open to
everyone.
This year, the Inspiration Summer Solstice moves to another level with a full
day’s worth of sharing, creativity, spiritual intention, and fun. We will be
gathering to create together a great blessing for this land and for the
possibilities it holds for the Consciousness School, for the community, and for
the planet. You are welcome to join us for the entire day of activities, or
part of the day.
There will be a sacred fire, lights, music, and many beautiful people. Don’t
miss it!
This is a vegetarian, drug and alcohol free event.

You Are Invited !!
The Solstice begins at 9 AM with a Sweatlodge. We have a new
lodge that we will be sweating in for the first time. All are welcome for the
ceremony, which starts with the cleaning of the firepit, covering the lodge,
carrying the rocks and wood, and then entering the lodge for the ceremony of
healing and opening. After the three rounds of sweating, chanting, praying, and
singing, the ceremony ends with drying and folding the blankets to put the
lodge to bed for the next time. We will start the ceremony at 9 AM, so please
come with work clothes and gloves. The labor of all makes for a wonderful
shared experience for everyone. Please make sure to drink lots of water before
coming, and bring water, a towel, and clothes to sweat in with you. There is no
fee for the lodge other than your active participation.
At 2 PM our afternoon begins with performances, a holistic
fair, a vegetarian potluck, art, games and swimming. Poets, musicians, dancers,
orators, fools for God of all kinds are all welcome on the stage to share their
creativity and gifts. Healers, artists, activists, gadflys, and shaman of every
persuasion are invited to bring a table and ply their wares to all and sundry.
Bring good, healthy, tasty vegetarian food and drink, and plenty of it, to
share. The pool will be open, and the lawn, too, for games, relaxing, and
family fun. In the afternoon, we will also co-create an art project together to
bless the land and our community, a project that will be centrally incorporated
into the evening's activities.
Performances by The Swing States Road Show and Bo Lozoff-
The Swing States Road Show
featuring Inspiration’s own Lea Jones will take the stage. With Jones on vocals
& guitar, Vattel Cherry on bass, and vocalists Judith Geller and Stuart
Rodes, the band performs songs of peace, love, and understanding from Bob Wills
to Bob Marley. Inspiration Community founder and Spiritual Director Jessica
Dibb has said of them "It was such a treat to listen to a band that is
uplifting, harmonious, creative, and socially conscious all at the same time.
Listening to The Swing States Road Show is nourishing personally and
transformative for the world."
Bo Lozoff, spiritual visionary, activist, and author of We're All Doing Time,
amongst other publications, will perform a free concert and public talk. To
learn more about Bo and his work, please visit

Celebration of Life Ritual We will gather together to give
thanks for the season and the promise it holds for all of us, especially for
the construction of a new building and the modification/renovation of Jessica’s
existing house to be a Spiritual Center. Join Jessica Dibb for this cherished
ritual and gathering.
This year, the ritual will consecrate and open a Blessing Circle of drumming,
dance, chant, song, and prayer that will begin at 6 PM and last until 9 PM
. Led by Inspiration's own Katy
Gaughan and Imani White, of
SoulFire Inside, this circle brings the wisdom, beauty, and energy of
the All Night Fire Circle tradition into relation and synergy with Inspiration
Community. We will co-create an altar and blessings for this land and community
as we begin the evening's Circle; drumming and dancing our prayers will follow.
Please bring your own drum and/or instrument. Some drums and percussion will be
available.
