Statement of Practice
Gretchen believes that cultivating inner awareness and contributing to the common good are both necessary to advance a conscious society. In addition to working with individual clients, she uses breathwork for trauma-healing among survivors of violence, war and natural disaster in Rwanda, Uganda, Haiti and the US through her non-profit Global Grassroots. She also teaches experiential and correspondence courses on “conscious social change” in which breath serves as the core modality in catalyzing both personal and social transformation.
Gretchen has been working as an integrative breathwork practitioner since 2009, and has been studying breathwork with the Inspiration Community and Jessica Dibb since 2002.
Gretchen is a trained practitioner of Coherent Breathwork and the Breath~Body~Mind program of Dr. Richard P. Brown and Dr. Patricia Gerbarg. She has a degree in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
