Goddess of the Garden Talks

Come join Victoria Greba at the Inspiration Consciousness School this Fall for an intimate series of dialogues on all things plants and gardening. In the newly built organic vegetable garden and surrounding land, we will explore such topics as the edible, medicinal, ecologic, and downright magical role of weeds, the nature of herbal medicine, the Permaculture philosophy of gardening, seed saving, wild food foraging, soil and compost, basic plant taxonomy, and Plant Spirit Medicine.

In a loose and relaxed setting, you’ll experience hands-on learning, lots of tasty nibbling of wild edible greens (!), and an open and exploratory mode of inquiry into the nature, function, and value of plants.

We’ll cover the how-to of everything from drying your own herbs for spices and teas, to simple infusions and decoctions, make-shift herbal band aids and first aid, and the basics of infusing oils, making herbal tinctures, syrups, and vinegars, and brewing herbal “coffees” and wines.

You’ll come away with skills for identifying edible and medicinal plants in your own yard (or sidewalk! But don’t eat those!), and a budding knowledge of how to use them and how to keep learning from them.

All ages are welcome, and all experience levels, whether you’re a long time gardener or consider yourself a total beginner.

Please bring weather appropriate clothing, a drawing pad or unlined paper, and something to write with. Classes are 1 ½ hour long, and meet outside in the garden.

Tuition: Classes are FREE. Come for one or come for them all!

Special Halloween Night Garden Talk starting at 2pm. Tarot Card readings will be done by Jessica Dibb and “potions” with Victoria!!!                  More on this night to be announced.
